This is something I've been wanting to journal about. Last week I
got a phone call from my mother. She mentioned that Rosalie was having a
hard time at school and asked me to pray for her. Also within that same week there was a high school student
that approached Rosalie and mentioned they wanted to commit suicide. Rosalie worked so hard trying to get
that student help, which lead to other issues, but also during that time Row
had this crazy deadline she had to meet in order to pass the first half of her
internship.
I called Row after getting off of the phone with mom to see how she was
doing. I could tell in her tone of voice she was overly discouraged. So after I hung up the phone, I knelt
down and said a prayer for her. I
knew that praying was great but getting up and doing something about it would
answer that prayer, so I called Cristina at 10:00 pm and explained Rosalie’s
dilemma. She hesitated, but agreed
to go with me to Salt Lake from Logan to help Rosalie grade. Cristina managed to recruit Claire Adams
(that girl has a heart of Gold). I
called Rollie Pollie and told her okay you have an 1.5 hours to get organized
before we show up to help you grade.
We arrive in Salt Lake at midnight and sang Rosalie her favorite song.
“Relax don’t do it” from the Proposal while Cristina was dancing for her. Rosalie’s response was classic… We get
to work and help her organize and enter in grades into the computer. I went to
bed at 3:40 am so I could wake up and drive at 6am. Cristina and Claire stayed up till 5am. We all woke up at 6am to make it
to work in Logan. I prayed for
help to make it back to Logan without falling asleep and Heavenly Father answered my prayer
(1.5 hour drive one way). God
answers prayers and helps us when we ask for it. I’m the type of person that
likes to get things done and with God’s help all is possible!
Highlights: Helping Row out
and being her answer to her prayers that night. Rosalie ended up meeting her deadline 2 minutes before 5 pm.
She says she would not have made it without us :-) Praying
for help to stay awake on the drive back home with only 2 hours
and 20 minutes of sleep and no caffeine.
Thanks you ladies. You were my angels that night! I made my deadline with your help. Help I did not realize I really needed!
